Mom Daughter Pre-Spring 2017 Fashion Haul
If I’m being honest ‘hauls’ are hard for me to organize. I buy constantly….little bits and pieces all the time. Ask my husband….its bad. That being said heres the items I’ve already purchased for Spring 2017.
This is the ultimate ‘statement’ bag. Its giving major Chanel vibes with the tweed and the chain strap. Theres a subtle metallic silver woven into the tweed, and the denim color is gorgeous… its just amazing. All for a mere $40. Comes in a cream and black color way as well.
This belt is from the B.P. department of Nordstrom. I wanted a western influenced belt with an oversized buckle. I still haven’t found exactly what I’m looking for, so this has been my stand in and I’m pretty impressed for a $19 dollar belt. It also came in a gold toned hardware version.
So if you are at all into fashion I’m sure you are aware of the Gucci ‘Marmot’ shoe. Its huge right now.
When I first saw it in person I fell in love. I pointed it out one day in Nordstrom to my mom and instead of a nod of approval I got a confused look. Yes, they are very different… the huge block heel, the 70s penny loafer influence, I get why people may think they are ugly, really I do. However, I can’t help but think they are so chic and edgy. I cannot hang with super high heels anymore so I fully embrace any trend that makes 3 inch and lower heel stacks cool. The only thing I don’t like about the shoes are the $800 price tag. I searched high and low and narrowed my field to these two shoes, both from Nordstrom:
When they arrived I decided to keep the Steve Maddens. Sorry haters… granny style for life.
I love a good wardrobe staple. If you have killer basics, all you need is a statement piece and you have an amazing outfit. These lace trimmed cami tanks from H&M are EVERYTHING. They were $24.99 and worth every penny. These are great underneath blazers, or even wide neck slouchy sweaters for just a peek of lace. They definitely have the lingerie inspo thing going on, but they are high cut enough to wear a normal bra with. Another H&M find was this basic white button down. The fabric was super soft and it was only 24.99 as well! Heres how I styled my basics:
(lets just pretend we don’t notice all those pictures have different filters shall we..)
These & These…cheapie sunglasses from charming charlie. It only took me three decades and several hundreds of dollars to realize I cannot be trusted with expensive sunglasses. These were $9 and they are perfect to keep in your purse or car.
On to my purchases for the kids:
These shoes remind me of these Mini Melissa shoes from Nordstrom. They are Koala Kids and they are such as steal at $12.99. Love me a good plastic shoe and silver is the most versatile color for spring. These are from Babies R Us believe it or not.
Another Babies R US find, these sunglasses from Koala kids. I love anything for kids that looks like a shrunken down adult item.
This scarf from Zara is ADORABLE. I plan on putting the girls in some jeans and plain tanks with these…
Lastly, these cotton dresses from H&M. Yea, I know they aren’t exciting… they are plain dresses. H&M does a really nice cheap dress though. I had these last year and they are great for just bumming around the house, or playing outside. I like having several versions on hand.
Alright thats all for now. I’ll be back soon with trends I think are going to be big for spring/summer 2017…
